Visiting Kashmir last year I was struck by the popularity of this radio program. A documentary style program being written about in most newspapers was quite a talk of town. Later I was told that the program was equally popular across the borders in Pakistan. Staying away from the propaganda style programs of Pakistan radio this program hit the points in a very subtle intelligent manner. Over the period of time the program has become a platform for raising issues of public concern criticizing home govt. as well as abroad. The program is often mixed with a unique sense of humor and songs. Program's anchor Anjali who also writes and produces the program interviews Governors and Minisiters and a common man from the street with an equality very unique to the style of this program. When some programs have amusing sense of humor some programs can even fill your eyes. Program is broadcast very early in morning and is very appropriately titled as it means 'Good Morning' in hindi.

Palanwala is a borderside village some 50 miles from the city of Jammu in troubled state of Kashmir. Because of heavy shelling by Pakistani forces all through the year culture of this village is unique. Lot of lives are lost all thru the year and there has never been a lasting quiet in this village. During the Kargil war shelling was so heavy that most people fled. It was so touching to note that many people decided to stay back becuase of their animals. Shubhprabhat team visited Palanwala in the middle of a war and spoke to some people there. Comments made towards General Musharraf of Pakistan are worth paying attention.
